Step one
We diagnose before we clean
We check whether this is genuinely malware or whether something else is producing the same symptoms. That determination changes the whole job.
Step two
We remove and verify
Removal is followed by checking that the machine actually behaves normally afterwards, not just that a scanner reports clean.
Step three
We tell you how it got in
You get a plain explanation of what happened and what to do differently, because the same route usually gets used twice.
An honest word about scare tactics
- A slow computer is not automatically infected, and we will not tell you it is
- Pop ups claiming your machine is infected and telling you to call a number are themselves the scam
- Nobody legitimate will ever cold call you about a virus on your computer
- If someone had remote access to your machine, tell us, because that changes what needs doing
If you think you are infected
- Stop using the machine for banking, shopping and email
- Do not call any number shown in a pop up warning
- If you gave anyone remote access or card details, contact your bank first, then tell us
- Change important passwords from a different device, not the affected one

In most cases yes. A full reset is a last resort rather than a default, and if we think it is genuinely the right answer we will explain why before doing anything.
No. That is one of the most common scams there is. Do not call it. If you already called and gave them access or payment details, contact your bank and then bring the machine to us.
Normally yes. We do not wipe a drive without telling you first. If a removal genuinely requires a reset we will discuss backup with you before starting.
We will go through what let it in on your machine specifically. Usually it is a download bundle, a browser extension or an out of date system, and all three are avoidable once you know.
